Artist choses Dortrend handle for Hampton court show

When well known artist, Jayne Tarasun of Folly-Smith wanted a door handle for her designer folly for the Royal Horticultural society show that was different and stylish she contacted West Midlands door handle manufacturer Dortrend International Ltd.
She selected the horn shaped anti ligature handle as its unusual design complemented the exciting appearance of her designer folly. The usual application for this handle is to prevent ligatures being attached to it. The design was developed by CAD and then rapid prototyped using a process that builds up the items with thousands of layers of plastic. This method allows the design to be checked for appearance but more importantly to confirm its resistance to the attachment of ligatures. Any alterations are then input into the CAD system and a new prototype produced within 24 hours.
When the tooling for the finished handle is completed we know we have a product that helps in the fight to prevent suicide.
