Stourport on Severn MP, Dr Richard Taylor has paid a special visit to Dortrend International this week in a bid to put fighting bacterial viruses in the spotlight.

Dortrend International, one of the leading manufacturers of door handles in the West Midlands welcomed Dr Richard Taylor MP on Friday (October 23rd) at it’s Stourport on Severn plant.

The anti bacterial specialists introduced Dr Taylor to TouchClean, an anti bacterial coating which works to kill bacteria on surfaces, walls and equipment in hospitals, schools and food preparation units.

Dortrend International is the only exclusive distributor of TouchClean in the UK.

Dr Richard Taylor MP, a former consultant in general medicine and rheumatology at Kidderminster General Hospital, met with Philip Dean, Managing Director of Dortrend International and Alan McDonald, Commercial Director to discuss how TouchClean could help in killing bacteria and controlling its spread in UK hospitals.

The trio also highlighted the recent Swine Flu epidemic, MRSA in hospitals and how the government currently work to fight the threat of viruses.

Dr Taylor mainly speaks in the House of Commons on the health service and is a member of the Health Select Committee.

TouchClean is an anti bacterial coating made from an anatase titanium dioxide based nano technology photocatalyst which destroys bacteria, spores, viruses, mould, odours and pollutants.

It contains Ti02 in nano powder form which has photocataytic properties. It is UV light which causes excitation of the Ti02 allowing water (vapour) to break down to form hydroxyl radicals and free oxygen radicals. This combination breaks down any organic material that lands on surfaces into carbon dioxide and water.

TouchClean can help in preventing the spread or arrival of the H1N1 Swine Flu virus for 12 months. It also protects against other deadly viruses MRSA, SARS, c difficile and e.coli for ten-years.

TouchClean Anti-bacterial Coating

TouchClean is an ‘anti-bacterial coating’ developed for and, distributed and professionally applied by Dortrend International.
