Dortrend Invests in New Automatic Saw to Boost UK Manufacturing

Dortrend is continuing to invest in its UK manufacturing capabilities with the addition of a new automatic saw to our Worcester production facility.

The latest investment forms part of our ongoing commitment to improving manufacturing efficiency, maintaining consistently high standards and strengthening our ability to manufacture specialist architectural door hardware here in the UK.

The new automatic saw will help streamline one of the important first stages of our manufacturing process: preparing material accurately and efficiently for production.

By automating the cutting process, the machine enables material to be processed consistently while reducing the amount of manual intervention required. This allows our skilled manufacturing team to concentrate more of their time on machining, fabrication, finishing and the specialist work that goes into producing Dortrend products.

Dortrend has been manufacturing door hardware for more than 50 years. Today, more than 85%of our products are manufactured at our Worcester factory, where tens of thousands of door hardware products are produced each year.

Our manufacturing facility already combines CNC machining with fabrication,polishing and finishing, laser technology, welding, CAD/CAM and product development facilities.

The new automatic saw complements this equipment and represents another step in the continued development of our in-house manufacturing capability.
